Watch Out

The Australian Fruit Fly has come into New Zealand and is located in the Grey Lynn area. So if you come into New Zealand please don't bring whole fruit in and out of the Grey Lynn area. If the Australian Fruit Fly spreads throughout New Zealand it will effect the transport of wine and fresh fruit. No one would want to buy our wine and fresh fruit because there might have some Australian Fruit Flies in the products. There has been 7 Australian Fruit Flies found at the moment in the Grey Lynn area

Personal Opinion: I think that the fruit fly should be taken into serious matters because it could affect our economy and our export it could also affect the health of people in Auckland and New Zealand if it spreads because no one could eat any fruit or vegetables.

  1. My Dad went to Grey Lynn on Thursday to spray fruit trees in peoples' back yards.
